So you’re looking to put something in your bum again? 🙂 HA. Well, good for you. Anal pleasure is for everyone and the Aneros MGX Syn Trident is a fabulous beginner to intermediate hands-free prostate stimulator. The MGX Syn Trident along with a family of Aneros toys, including the Eupho Trident, is designed to internally stimulate the prostate and externally stimulate the perineum, all while moving hands-free with the natural contractions of your sphincter muscles during normal sexual play.
According to Aneros, the MGX Syn Trident is recommended for new users in couples or solo masturbation and is said to be balanced and moderate in comfort. It has a ribbed stem for added pleasure, modified arms for external stimulation, and is made of FDA-approved Phthalate free materials. All of which you can reasonably trust as Aneros has been around for approximately 20 years and is known as one of the true leaders in anal pleasure.
Aneros MGX Syn Trident Product Specs

Aneros MGX Syn Trident
- A- Tip p Width: 0.8 in
- B- Mid-Ridge Width: 0.98 in
- C- Stem to Perineum Distance: 1.6 in
- D- Insertable Depth: 3.9 in
Unlike the Aneros Peridise anal toys for couples, and the Aneros Tempo which are designed to be equally pleasurable for both men and women, the Aneros MGX Syn Trident is designed specifically for male use and the stimulation of the prostate. To that end, it relies on a specially curved insertable section with the classic Aneros curved arms, which helps the toy to move hands-free with your natural sphincter contractions while simultaneously putting pleasurable pressure on the perineum.
Aneros MGX Trident: Is it for you?
- Recommendation: Personally I liked the Aneros MGX Syn Trident over the Aneros Eupho Trident but I think it really becomes a matter of size and material preference.
- Key Attributes: Designed by the experts at Aneros to stimulate your anus with the natural clinching of your muscles. Designed to be gender-neutral. Made from high-quality velvet like silicone.
- Comparable Products: Aneros has a line of hands-free anal toys. Check them out at Lovehoney.com.
- Value: At around $70 the Aneros MGX is a higher priced non electric toy but I would still consider it a strong value.
- Pros: Small to medium, designed to be hands-free after insertion. Made of Velvet Soft Silicone
- Cons: Small (you may want something bigger) but a great place to start. Also made for Men.
- Alternatives: Other Aneros hands-free anal toys, some designed for both sexes and some for men only. I would also recommend the Lora Di Carlo Tilt.
My Experience
After trying the Peridise for couples and then the stainless steel Tempo (both designed for either gender), I decided it was time to try the specially shaped anal toys that separate Aneros from the competition. I selected the Aneros Trident and the Aneros MGX and I came away feeling that both had something to offer and that size and shape really do matter in anal toys.
I used the Aneros MGX Syn Trident in both masturbation sessions and with Mimi and found it equally pleasing. The nice part is that you can use a little lube (the Aneros Sessions lube is quite nice) to put it in place and then let it move hands-free as your sphincter muscles naturally contract during normal movement. You can also put your mind’s focus more on that area and purposefully move the toy with your own contractions but that isn’t necessary and probably more distracting if you are using it during couples play.
Again, both experiences were good and ended in intense orgasms but I think it is important to understand that unless you are an anal pleasure MASTER, it is very unlikely that the MGX will be your primary source of orgasm. Instead, it is a pleasure enhancer, helping you to cum harder and more intensely by creating a secondary source of stimulation against your prostate.
Velvet Soft Silicone
Texture is definitely a part of our sexual desires although it may be one that we don’t talk about as often as size and shape. And I think texture is really a matter of preference. In this case, the “Syn” product line from Aneros uses a black velvet soft silicone instead of the harder white material used in the non “Syn” line-up. I personally like it but I can’t really say that it is better, just different. The only other texture option from Aneros is in the Tempo which is stainless steel, providing more weight and opportunities for temperature play.
Size, Weight, Texture, Oh My
I’ve posted the info below about size in a few of my Aneros toy reviews but I think it is really important to see the side-by-side size comparison and when it comes to anal exploration, size and shape really do matter. The three toys pictured her are the Trident, the MGX, and the Tempo. The first two toys are made for men as the forward facing arm would interfere with the vagina. The arms of these toys are designed to stimulate the perineum and the base of the spine (referred to by Aneros as the kundalini tab) while the curved design allows more direct stimulation of the male prostate. The Tempo, on the other hand, requires no exterior arms, keeping the vagina free for other play and its more linear form is designed to stimulate the anus in general and not the prostate specifically. Again, the MGX Syn Trident is made from a velvet soft silicone that provides a bit softer feel than the Eupho Trident or other non “Syn” named Aneros products.
Final Thoughts on Aneros MGX Syn Trident
The Aneros MGX Syn Trident is a great toy to explore anal pleasure alone or with a partner. I would consider it a step up from a beginner’s anal toy although it is still relatively small in size. Its ability to stimulate the prostate and the perineum while staying in place, hands-free, is unmatched. Although it will not likely bring you to climax on its own, it is definitely ready to enhance your orgasm and bring you to a longer and stronger climax.
Final Thoughts on Aneros
Aneros is all about making sex toys that fit our bodies and bring pleasure naturally. They are not about jamming huge toys in our asses. They approach anal pleasure differently and if you take the time to play with their toys and take their advice, you can begin a process of awakening your pelvic floor muscles and pleasure sensors in a new and different way. That is why I always recommend Aneros toys to couples exploring anal orgasms. Playing with these toys can bring couples closer together as they experience and discuss a new shared sensation and it can be done in a safe and pain-free way.
